Partnerships

Working Together
By partnering with the CCC, you can help make California an even better place for all!
There are many ways to partner with the California Conservation Corps. Local organizations and government agencies can mentor Corpsmembers, host interns, and work with CCC crews on projects and community events. When we work together, we all benefit!
Discover the benefits
Partnering with the California Conservation Corps is a win-win for everyone! Organizations can gain a crew of hardworking, reliable, young adults that are eager to complete meaningful projects. Meanwhile, Corpsmembers get to put their training into action, build their resume, and advance in their career pathways. To facilitate mutually beneficial partnerships, the CCC:
- Conducts pre-enrollment background checks and drug tests for Corpsmembers
- Prepares Corpsmembers with comprehensive job training
- Equips Corpsmembers with necessary tools, gear, and safety equipment
- Facilitates transportation to projects, including hard-to-reach locations
- Provides Corpsmembers a training stipend, insurance, and workers’ compensation
- Hires supervisors to lead each CCC crew, which can be up to 15 Corpsmembers strong

CCC Career Pathways
CMcareers@ccc.ca.gov
The CCC partners with government agencies and other organizations to provide internship opportunities to Corpsmembers. If you’re interested in hosting a CCC Corpsmember intern, consider your mentorship capacity and ability to guide a Corpsmember through educational experiences to gain professional skills, learn about working in your field and in your organization.
The host organization should then consider what an intern would do and learn about in your organization. Our team will work collaboratively with you to develop a position description and training plan and we’d love to help brainstorm and discuss position concepts. State of California organizations should be mindful that internships shall not displace civil service work.
Considerations
Considerations:
- Internships may last as short as three months and as long as 12 months, with potential to extend
- Internships may include field activities, office activities and a combination of both.
- Full-time 40-hours per week or part-time
- In-person (may require relocation and could limit applicant pool), remote (may diminish the experience for the intern and host) or hybrid
- Internships may begin and end at any point in the calendar year. Corpsmembers enroll in the CCC on a rolling basis throughout the year
- Please reach out to the contact above to discuss internship funding
Once the position has been developed, CCC will host a statewide virtual meeting to announce the opportunity to the Corpsmembers. The CCC team remains involved to assist and coordinate the interview and selection process.
