Funds from Proposition 1 – the Water Quality, Supply, and Infrastructure Improvement Act of 2014 – can be used to enhance rivers, lakes, streams, coastal waters and watersheds. Chapter 6 of Prop 1 requires the services of the CCC or certified local corps be used, whenever feasible, for restoration and ecosystem protection projects. It is encouraged that grant applicants reach out while developing project proposals. CCC staff typically complete the consultation within ten days of receiving a complete request. Proposition 68

Funds from Proposition 68 – the California Drought, Water, Parks, Climate, Coastal Protection, and Outdoor Access for All Act of 2018 – can be used to plan, develop, and implement climate adaptation and resiliency projects, including those that create or rehabilitate state or local parks, provide flood protection, protect natural resources and water supply, and improve water quality. Prop 68 grant applicants receive preference by consulting with the CCC or certified local corps while developing their project proposals.
