The start of the Salmon Restoration Project season—we just call it SRP—is one full of firsts for our CCC Fortuna Corpsmembers.
Most on the crew haven’t worked in the creeks of Humboldt County before, and so they’re learning on the job.
It’s a project assignment some of them have been waiting months to start.
That’s how important the work is to them; the work of helping restore the fish habitat for our threatened and endangered salmon populations.
